On the 17th of May, VRT channel’s political show “De Afspraak”, journalist Phara de Aguirre insisted bringing Foreign Affairs Minister Sophie Wilmès’s Jewish roots into the Israel-Palestine conflict discussion. The journalist conflated Jews and Israelis and made that insidious suggestion that Jews hold double – an age-old antisemitic trope. B’nai B’rith Europe Stands with Sarah Halimi – B’nai B’rith Europe

The decision of the French Court of Cassation concerning the murderer of Sarah Halimi z”l was a revolting, offensive and unworthy decision. On the 14th of April, the French Supreme Court judges, citing “a delirious breath”, decided that this murderer should be held criminally irresponsible and therefore will not be trialled. B’nai B’rith Europe starts Petition on ICC – B’nai B’rith Europe

B’nai B’rith Europe’s Lodge of Tolerancia, headed by Peter Werner, in May 2021, started a petition to the ICC, with the aim of in stopping such misjudged accusations against Israel. This initiative was done together with a good partner of the Lodge, with a branch in Slovakia – ICEJ  (International Christian Embassy Jerusalem).
