B’nai B’rith Europe condemns antisemitic speech on Flemish TV channel – 2021 – B’nai B’rith Europe

On the 17th of May, VRT channel’s political show „De Afspraak”, journalist Phara de Aguirre insisted bringing Foreign Affairs Minister Sophie Wilmès’s Jewish roots into the Israel-Palestine conflict discussion. The journalist conflated Jews and Israelis and made that insidious suggestion that Jews hold double – an age-old antisemitic trope.
