BBYP Friday Night Dinner with Ner Yisrael Synagogue Sells Out!
B’nai B’rith UK Young Professionals (BBYP) held its second annual joint Friday night dinner with Ner Yisrael Synagogue, on Friday 2nd August for young professionals in their 30s and 40s. BBLBIA attend Latvian Embassy annual lecture
The Latvian Embassy held its annual Isaiah Berlin lecture on 4 July 2019. Tony Swabe attended. The speaker was the Australian High Commissioner who had found Isaiah Berlin’s ideas valuable as a guide to his career in politics. There was an interesting discussion on liberal democracy which was contributed to by the Israeli Ambassador. Read more » »
Another very successful Interlodge Quiz
Once again the 2019 Interlodge Quiz was a huge success. Maxine Cohen who worked so hard organising the event, was delighted that almost £900 was raised for BBUK’s core charities. The proceeds from the evening will be shared between the Qiryat Gat ‘Feed a Hungry Family’ project in Israel and the ‘Medical Aid’ programme in Kiev. Read more » »
