An Auschwitz survivor, Salpeter won awards for reporting on Diaspora Jewry in a career of nearly 60 years. Art produced by Girl Scouts was the main attrat artVenture on April 2. The 900 participating girls explored their creative spirit and their philanthropic side for the effort, which began in December when they produced the art.
