Allentown Council presses pause on petition to exempt Maingate Night Club, others from state noise regulations

Allentown officials’ plan to help the Maingate Night Club reopen has been postponed until the new year. City Council’s public safety committee on Tuesday voted 2-1 to put off petitioning the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to exempt a section of the West End Theatre District, including the Maingate, from state noise regulations.
