Nida S. Bernstein, 99, a volunteer, art lover, and descendant of early Jewish Americans

Mrs. Bernstein could trace her lineage to a doctor who was with Gen. George Washington at Valley Forge. Another ancestor, the father of nine, died at age 43 while fighting the British in New Jersey.
